Check current requirements
Requirements, fees and timelines in the UAE change. Message us on WhatsApp — we'll verify them for your activity and jurisdiction.
Decide who needs to relocate
Not the whole team needs to be based in the UAE. Categorize roles as local, remote or temporarily seconded. A head of sales or an operations manager may require physical presence, while some functions can remain distributed.
Check the visa quota
The number of visas is tied to the company's package, office and the jurisdiction's rules. Before registration, prepare a one-year hiring plan to avoid changing the structure immediately after launch.
Prepare documents and contracts
For each role, verify passport, qualification and local registration requirements. Terms of employment, pay, probationary periods and termination must comply with applicable UAE regulations.
Calculate the true cost of an employee
Beyond salary, include visa, medical insurance, recruiting, equipment, workspace, flights and onboarding. For the owner, the total cost of the role is important, not just the monthly pay amount.
Plan family relocation
If an employee relocates with family, housing, schools, insurance and visa procedures for dependents are important. These factors affect the start date and retention of key personnel.
Maintain processes during the transition
Document responsible persons, backup access and a task handover schedule. Relocation should not interrupt client service. A separate communication and quality-control plan is useful for the first weeks.
Frequently asked questions
Is it necessary to relocate the entire team?
No. Often it's more effective to keep some functions remote and relocate only roles that require physical presence in the UAE.
When should employee processing start?
After defining the company structure, visa quota and the realistic launch schedule. Critical roles should be planned in advance.
